Today, I received an update from Lloyd with some disappointing news. After pouring the first half of the rubber molds, they encountered some casting issues, rendering this round of parts unusable. Lloyd explained that this is sometimes the reality of prototyping a new design, and while it's frustrating, it's a part of the process.
The parts produced exhibited various issues, including formal and structural problems, meaning they came out cracked, broken, or with voids. Lloyd assured me that these issues are diagnosable and preventable, and they will recalibrate their operations and produce more parts soon.
